Old iron and the joy of riding: the VVMC.

The Venice Vintage Motorcycle Club and its simple club concept: ride to the meeting point on old motorbikes, and when both sides of the street are lined with bikes, hop on and rumble off together.
For people with a penchant for old, well-kept machines, the time between arrival and departure is really the most exciting part: a museum on wheels. Mind you, the emphasis here is not on historical pieces with ‘Please do not touch’ signs, but on classics from the more recent motorbike history whose owners really have only one thing on their mind: riding.
There is also the question of whether ‘American Iron’ or ‘Made in Japan’ is second-rate. All are welcome here, but having a ‘one’ as the first number in the year of manufacture doesn’t hurt.
