Chabott Engineering – ‘Burn rubber’ with a difference.

He is, if you like, the biggest nil when it comes to custom bikes: nil as in zero – with his spectacular no-frills ‘Zero Style’ bikes, Shinya Kimura has shown over the years what great art customising can be.
And when he’s not rubbing shoulders in Bonneville or at similar professional meetings, you can certainly find him in his workshop in Azusa, California. Under the name Chabott Engineering he hasn’t only spent his time tinkering with motorcycles since 2006, but also with the production of objects from metal and rubber. And how could it be any different with Shinya Kimura: somehow you get the feeling that his sculptures will ride off at any moment.
